In a large heatproof bowl, combine Gochugaru, garlic, and spring onion.
Heat 2-3 tbsp oil over medium high heat until it shimmers, then pour the hot oil over the Gochugaru mixture.
Add the soy sauce, sugar and dashi powder to the Gochugaru mixture. Stir well until thoroughly combined. (feel free to taste and adjust the seasoning as desired.)
In a pot of boiling water, cook the frozen dumplings and noodles until cooked through.
Transfer the cooked noodles and dumplings to the bowl with the Gochugaru mixture. Add the reserved noodles cooking liquid and give it a mix.
Garnish with spring onions, crispy shallots, and sesame seeds before serving.
