These Soup Dumplings in Fragrant Chilli Sauce are quick, easy, and packed with flavour. Juicy soup dumplings are served in a savoury garlic and gochugaru chilli oil sauce that comes together in minutes, adding a gentle warmth and aromatic kick rather than intense heat, making it the perfect quick meal.

- 7 frozen soup dumplings or any dumplings you like
- Spring onion and sesame seeds, for garnish
FOR THE SAUCE *Adjust to taste
- 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp finely chopped spring onion
- 1 tbsp gochugaru Korean chilli powder
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp vegetarian dashi powder or MSG
- 2–3 tbsp oil for sizzling
- 4-5 tbsp hot water about 75ml
In a large heatproof bowl, combine the garlic, spring onion,and gochugaru.
Heat the oil over medium-high heat until shimmering, then carefully pour it over the aromatics. Stir to combine.
Add the soy sauce, sugar, and dashi powder. Pour in the hot water and mix until well combined. Taste and adjust the water and seasoning if desired.
Steam or microwave the frozen soup dumplings according to the package instructions until cooked through.
Arrange the cooked soup dumplings on top of the prepared chilli oil sauce.
Garnish with spring onion and sesame seeds before serving.
